Naturopathy involves the use of herbs, homeopathy, nutritional supplements, diet and lifestyle to facilitate changes to health. A practitioner will look at you as a whole person which may include posture, diet, lifestyle and job. They will ask questions about your past and present health, what you were like as a child, your bowel habits and many more. Standard checks are made such as blood pressure however you may also be asked to show your hands, stick out your tongue and stare at a spot on the wall whilst the naturopath looks into your eyes. These special diagnostic tools determine which parts of your body have predispositions to illness or a weakness. These allow the Naturopath to confirm the systems within the body that need attention. They can not tell the Naturopath the disease you have however. A diagnosis of a disease always needs to be determined by your medical practitioner.
