Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine is an ancient system that uses the medicinal qualities of plants to assist the healing process.  In modern times the word "phytomedicine" is used for this system.  Herbalists know through scientific testing that the medicine they use has the power to heal.  In fact, some of the conventional medicines you are prescribed by your doctor are derived from the plants we use in Herbal Medicine.

A Herbalists consultation is very different to your doctor however.  They are interested in treating you as a whole, not just the symptoms you are displaying.  This is done by creating a mixture specifically for your needs.  This mixture may contain up to about six different herbs that will act synergistically in your body.  The herbs taste like medicine but can be disguised in juice or water.
